My Painting process
I begin my painting process by creating surfaces. I have tried numberless of different ways to achieve thick, many dimensional textures. Translucency of many layers of paint shapes the painting coat by coat and makes it alive and interesting. I like to paint with really big brushes and different kinds of knives.
To achieve the structure I usually start with acrylic colours. That makes possible to paint several caots at the same session, as they dry so fast. When the surface is ready, there are probably twenty layers of paint; though part of them very net-like and thin. Sometimes I add oil colours afterwords, sometimes I may use pastel colours to create representive figures. To protect pastel colour I use many layers of varnish.
Most usually there’s a silhouette-like element at my paintings; stylized animal of human figure or some symbol. There are sometimes also hidden symbols or signs at the backround.
